Communication is the process of conveying meaning from one individual or group, through signs, symbols and words, in order to create a common understanding. Communication can thus be achieved through both verbal and non-verbal (visual) forms, and is dependent on the manner of expression, the tone of voice, facial expressions, gestures and postures. As a process, communication is effective only when the message transmitted is received and understood in the manner in which it was intended by the sender.

In the session on Communication Skills, we at Finessse demonstrate the various forms of communication, message formation, forms of expression, coding and decoding of information, the use of non-verbal cues, active listening, providing feedback, building trust, barriers to effective communication, and a host of key communication skills.
